"Birchwood is the WORST club EVER. Snobs, vindictive members - won't let you play if you're not "one of the group". Obnoxious members, especially the women. Very childlike and catty. David Elsasser, resident tennis director, is old and completely out of touch with modern tennis. No strong junior programs. STAY AWAY - you will regret it."

"TERRIBLE TENNIS CLUB. Horrible, out of date head pro - no innovation, caters to long-term members, no new ideas. PLAYERS placed on teams NOT because of ranking or talent, but on how much the old pro likes them. NOT FOR REAL PLAYERS. THEY TREAT NEW MEMBERS HORRIBLY> DO yourself a big favor and LOOK EVERYWHERE ELSE BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK OF JOINING BIRCHWOOD"
